Photo of the Day   July 5, 2008

Every day we post a new photo from the collections currently on Jim Miller’s desk. These are put on the site at approximately 4 am EST and you are likely looking at a photo that has rarely been seen outside of family and friends. Jim’s comments may reflect the photo owner’s knowledge or may result from the extensive research that Jim conducts. Each photo then goes into our on-site Photo Gallery, where you can review the most recent twenty.

Jim's Comments
Els Lohn from Beverly Hills, CA brought his little Coventry Climax powered Class F Streamliner to Bonneville for some fun in 1967 and had a bunch. The 90.5" motor was supercharged and the car was called the Eeloc Wee Eel V and was out to break it's own record set back in '65 at 185.951. After qualifing at an amazing 228.42 mph he baloon footed it for a two way of 193.167 and a new record. Steve Straw Collection.
